Christmas Crafting
As many of my blog readers know I joined the Make It On the 25th Club over at Sew Many Ways
I made this snap bag for the little brother this morning. Had to give it to him already, but I plan on making more for Christmas gifts! They have measuring tape in the top band to make it snap when you close it! I love that idea! You can get the pattern Snap Happy over at Stitchin' Sisters It was easy to follow and fun to make!

Chicken Enchiladas
This is a family favorite that was given to me by a wonderful co-worker and friend, I still have the original note she wrote it out on...
Chicken Enchiladas
Flour Tortillas
Shredded or chunked chicken
1 large jar of salsa
1 can of green chillis
1 small carton of heavy whipping cream
2 cups shredded cheese
Pre-heat your oven to 350. Mix salsa, chillies, and chicken in a large bowl. Take mixture and place in the middle of a flour tortilla. Roll in up and place it seam side down in a greased casserole dish. Continue until you have used all your filling. Cover with shredded cheese and then pour on the heavy cream. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until cheese is bubbly and melted.
Here they are ready for the oven!

Tuesday Tip 32: Sewing Ruler Tip
Don't you hate it when a pattern calls for a certain size ruler and you don't have it. These quilting rulers are not cheap, so you don't want to go out and buy one every time you need a different size.
I took a quilting class these past 2 weeks at a wonderful shop called Whistle Stop Quilt Shop and the instructor Connie showed us this neat trick.
Just use painters tape to tape off the size you need. Cut 2 edges, then rotate and cut the other 2 edges. Done and done!

Homemade Orange Pineapple Ice Cream
So you might remember a few posts back that I mentioned buying a lime green ice cream maker. Well I put it to good use this weekend! I wanted to share a super easy and yummy recipe for homemade orange pineapple ice cream!
You will need:
1- 2 liter bottle of Crush Orange Soda
2- cans of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1- large can of crushed pineapple
Rock Salt
Ice
In a large bowl mix soda, eagle brand milk and pineapple. Fill your ice cream container. Add ice and rock salt all around the edges like you would for any other ice cream and let the machine run 45 minutes or until you see/hear it having a hard time churning. You will be left with something delicious like this:

Tuesday Tip 31: Sewing Vinyl
This wonderful tip and bonus a tutorial comes from the blog Rosey Corner Creations. On this post she shows how to make 2 versions of a cute little vinyl card wallet.
She also gives a great tip about sewing on vinyl. Which is so annoying because the presser foot gets all hung up on the vinyl but the fabric sews fine and you end up with a mess! She shows the cheapest, easiest method ever.... Scotch Tape!
Amazing!

Make a Gift on the 25th
When I read this on Sew Many Ways, I thought genius! So I decided to get myself a button (see right side column at the bottom) and join the Make a Gift on the 25th club.
Here's what Karen says on her blog...
"For the next 5 months...July - November...you will start, make, complete or continue to make one gift on the 25th of each month. You can start a new project of your own choice or finish one you've already started. If you can't do it exactly on the 25th of each month, try to participate during the "week" of the 25th. Having a designated time and day will help eliminate proCRAFTination."
So here's to no more proCRAFTinating!

Friday Favorite 29
This weeks Friday Favorite is finishing projects! I had a very good friend talk me into buying this
Dr. Seuss Kit from Linderella's Quilt Works. I had wanted it for so long, but couldn't justify buying it. Thanks to a 20% off coupon, I was able to get it without feeling so guilty! So this week, I put my mind to it and finished the top! I am waiting until I take a stippling class next week to quilt it.
I love it! I can't wait to pick out the backing fabric and get this cutie completely finished! And the answer to the million dollar question is, no we are not expecting and it is not for sale. I just love Dr. Seuss and this is a limited edition fabric (in fact the kit I used is no longer available). I plan to hang it in my 1st grade classroom or in my sewing studio.
